Restore your Shoreline!
There are many methods of prevention/restoration depending on the amount of erosion that has already occured. Make sure you take a look at your river, pond, or lake bank and be one step ahead of the process!
Mechanical Dredging
Sediment Removal Services uses sectional barges to float an excavator into coves or channels as narrow as sixteen feet wide. On the barge, SRS has a twelve cubic yard sediment hopper that is used to transport the dredged material to shore where it is offloaded onto trucks for disposal upland.
Sediment Removal Services was founded in 2011, by Dustin Merrell and Zach Crumley. At the age of 22 and 20, we were two young guys beginning our journey of chasing the "American Dream". We now have a team of 5 full time operators and a variety of over 30 pieces of equipment.
Sediment Removal Services, Inc. is located in rural Kokomo, Indiana and performs work on projects all across the United States.

The Process, Start to Finish
Equipment is loaded and strapped onto a 34 foot hydraulically tilting trailer
Equipment is transported to the body of water being serviced
Barges are slid off into the water
Excavator is loaded onto Barge
The Barge has an outboard motor mounted to it allowing us to drive to the area being serviced
Spuds are lowered hydraulically to stabilize the barge while dredging
16 Cubic Yards of material is mechanically removed, using the one-step removal process required by the Army Corps of Engineers
Once loaded, the spuds are raised and the barge is then driven to the designated unload site
